Hello Lovely. Are you ready to take a look at some more ink blending? If I'm honest with myself and you for that matter, this is by far my favorite technique. I love the magic that happens when the colors meet and merge to make something stunning.
I drew the inspiration for these cards from the same Jennifer McGuire Video - Masking Stencils I talked about in yesterday's post. I've ordered some masking paper, but don't have it yet. I can tell you I got the same results by laying two stencils.
On this first card, I taped the heart stencil in place and then taped the Tim Holtz Flourish stencil over top. Side note - the heart stencil is cut from acetate using one of the Kaiser Heart Dies. The Distress Inks used are, from top to bottom, Peacock Feathers, Scattered Straw, and Worn Lipstick. This just might be my current favorite Distress combo. The sentiment is from Sentimental Too by Avery Elle and is stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and of course, the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die made an appearance. I added a few gems for sparkle.
On card three, I taped the circle stencil in place and then taped the Tim Holtz Flourish stencil over top. Side note - the circle stencil is cut from acetate using one of the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle dies. The Distress Inks used are, from top to bottom, Cracked Pistachio, Salty Ocean, and Blueprint Sketch. The sentiment is from Sentimental Too by Avery Elle and is stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and of course, the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die made an appearance. I didn't add any sparkle to this one, as I was going for a more masculine card.
