14 Cards in 2 Days

I spent Saturday and Sunday Scrap Stash Busting!  It doesn't even look like a made a dent, but I got 14 cards made.  Let's start by talking about the small basket I keep on my desk. 

I have a small white plastic basket on my desk that helps corral the mess a little bit.  It keeps all the little bits from getting stuck to something by mistake.  I literally toss everything in this basket from paper scraps, to die cuts I don't use, to stamped panels that don't quite fit the idea I had in mind.  When the basket gets full I generally just sort it, putting away what's still useable and tossing the bits that are too small to use. 

Saturday afternoon I decided I'd challenge myself to use some of the bits from the basket.  Each of these cards has at least one element from the scrap basket, some have multiple pieces.

This first set of four seemed to have a lot of oranges.  There are some pieces with texture paste and even acrylic paint on them and they all include distress ink.

We move from oranges to purples and greens.  All of these have distress inked elements, a few of them have heat embossing, and all of them have a die cut word.

These three all have die cutting and are layered.  The Love You card has a peek-a-boo done by cutting the white panel and then sliding the pink dot paper behind it.  Yes.  I took the time to glue the little bits from the insides of the letters into place.

The last three are simple and use some of the smallest scraps from my basket.  All three of the focal words were created the same as the love you card above, but the paper peeking through is all trimming from distress inked backgrounds I'd created for other cards.  I have a hard time tossing my distress inked bits.
